What is the ILA?
The International Literacy Association is a network of over 1,200 state, provincial, and local councils, and national affiliates. There are 80,000 members in America and 99 nations. It exists for the purpose of promoting reading research, teacher and parent education, and community involvement in advocating literacy worldwide.
